About Us

The Happy Wreath Seller

The Happy Wreath Seller is a family owned business that was started between my sister Michelle and I.  We  have always enjoyed being creative, whether it’s drawing, painting, or photography.  After receiving many compliments throughout the years from family and friends on various art projects, we decided to go online and share our wreath and floral designs with others.  Fortunately, the Internet has given us the opportunity to use our artistic energy to expand our capabilities.  We decided to pursue this avenue after feeling unfulfilled in our other careers and found this line of work to be much more rewarding and therapeutic.

Another passion of ours that is close to our hearts is animals. We have always had a deep admiration and respect for all of our fellow animal friends. Growing up in Pennsylvania and South Carolina, we have owned rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, hermit crabs, cats, dogs, sugar gliders, and an iguana. Michelle currently has a "son" Dudley, a Bassett Hound and Lab mix who was adopted from Pets Inc., a no-kill shelter here in Columbia where both Michelle and I have worked and/or volunteered. She now makes her home in Gibsonia, PA where she volunteers at Animal Rescue League, a shelter in Pittsburgh. She has a daughter named Jessica who also shares the same love for animals as us.

Our current "family" includes Jasper, a cocker spaniel mix who I adopted from the Columbia Animal Shelter and Sierra, a pit bull-boxer stray who found my boyfriend and I while walking on the trails around my neighborhood when we lived in SC. I definitely believe it's bad owners and not bad dogs that make people think that the breed is a ferocious one. I also have a sugar glider named Daisy.  Along with designing wreaths, I also pet sit, dog walk and am an obedience instructor teaching Puppy Headstart, Basic, and Advanced classes. I also volunteer regularly at the Richmond SPCA where I help walk, socialize, and train the shelter dogs.
